Kids YOGA Creative Drama=Fun! a 6-Week Workshop Series with Brooke Harker Thursdays April 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, & May 6, 2010 Session One: 3:30-4:30pm - Yoga Playhouse - Ages 3-6 Session Two: 4:45-5:45pm - Yoga Story Makers - Ages 7-12 It's time to get creative! Come and play with us for a 6-week workshop combining the poses, breath and imaginationthat we celebrate in yoga with dramatic activities to encourage kids to express themselves through movement, improvisation and story dramatization. Kids will explore characters inspired by yoga poses and use their imagination to create their own stories! Brooke Harker is originally from Iowa. She began working with youth over a decade ago, and graduated with a degree in Creative Drama/Youth Theatre/Theatre in Education & Performance in 2000 from the University of Northern Iowa. Since then, Brooke has had the opportunity to work with thousands of children around the world at US Embassies, military bases, schools, youth centers, and private homes. Her education includes: Yoga Education Tools for Teachers, a certification with MiniYogis, and is currently taking the Black Dog Yoga RYT-200 hour teacher training for adults.
